The Atlanta Radical Book Fair strives to foster a safer space for all oppressed people. While we recognize that no space can be completely free of oppressive dynamics, we actively reject all expressions of discrimination or oppressive behaviors. We will not tolerate any acts of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, violence, or any other behavior that attempts to marginalize people based on their identity or social position. If you witness any such acts, please let us know! Designated volunteers at the information table are happy to help escort people who are exhibiting such behaviors out of the book fair. Further, if you have ideas for how we can contribute to a safer space immediately or at next year’s book fair, please pass on your concerns in person or via email.
